Fitclub Wusterhausen wins gripping MAZ company cup in Kyritz!

On Friday, June 27, 2025, in Kyritz at the 23rd football tournament around the MAZ company Cup was once again proven how much fun in the region was brought. Eight leisure teams, consisting of employees of local companies, competed against each other on the SV Rot-Weiß Kyritz sports field. The event took place in the presence of numerous spectators, including colleagues and family members, who cheered out their teams loudly. In a total of 28 gripping games that ran over almost three hours, the fit club Wusterhausen made the race as a cup winner, which gave the team and his fans a great reason to be happy. Other teams that demonstrated their skills were MAZ, Hüffermann Transport Systems Neustadt, Emsland Starke Kyritz, Alutrim Europe Kyritz, RO Inductive Bauenemen Kyritz, Stephanus Foundation Heilbrunn and the mushroom farm Tornow.

The tournament was actively supported by SV Rot-Weiß, whose club chairman Thomas Teschke, visibly enthusiastically, put the joy and advertising for sport in the foreground. It seems that there is nothing in the way of repeating the event, because the families and colleagues of the athletes enjoyed the exuberant mood and the exciting competition flair, like MAZ-Online reported.

But football was not the only highlight this week: On Saturday the 1st day of the sport in Kyritz took place, which, despite the oppressive heat, was a complete success. There were short -term cancellations of some teams here, but the mood remained unbroken. The event, which took place in and around the sports and cultural center on Perleberger Strasse, offered a colorful program. From the table tennis tournament, organized by SC Blauer Anker and Schwarz-Rot Neustadt, to handball tournaments in the three-field hall, which attracted numerous guests.

The participation of the Kyritzer Athletics Association in children and youth sports that took place on the sports field was particularly remarkable. Around 400 active participants provided a great atmosphere. At the same time there was a Bambini soccer tournament, where SV Rot-Weiß Kyritz and SSV unit Perleberg ran as guests. The organization teams, led by Stefan Kieper (SG Elektronik Kyritz) and Christian Boldt (city administration of Kyritz), ensured the necessary equipment and meals of the athletes, supported by the Kyritz volunteer fire brigade, which provided visitors with cool drinks.

Financial support and thanks to the donors

Financial aid received the event from the city of Kyritz, which jumped aside at 1000 euros. A total of 4,300 euros were collected by numerous donations from various companies, an enormous support that benefits from the hustle and bustle. Overall, it was an exciting sports weekend that makes you want more. With the numerous sports events that are in the region this year, Kyritz remains the focus. In 2025, many major sporting events are on the plan in Germany, including the World University Games in Rhein-Ruhr and the women's handball championship.
