Neuruppin: Reno branch opens in September – the excitement is high!
Rumors about new openings are always making the rounds, and this also applies to the Ruppiner shopping center, the popular attraction in Neuruppin. A new Reno branch will open there in fall 2023, a move that is very welcome following the closure of the previous branch in summer 2023. This had to close its doors due to bankruptcy, and since then the shoe department has remained largely deserted, apart from the competing offerings from the shoe retailer Deichmann.
The exact opening date for the new Reno branch is still up in the air, as structural problems - particularly in the area of ventilation and lighting in the entrance area - need to be resolved. Nevertheless, the aim is to start in the second half of September 2023, which would mark an ideal time for the start of the autumn and winter season. The images of the former Sparkasse Ostprignitz-Ruppin are now being transformed into a new center for shoe lovers.
Construction and modernization plans
Interestingly, the opening will not only bring a new shoe store to life, but will also see extensive modernization of the shopping center itself. Minor paving work on the forecourt is due to begin in September this year and floor renovation is planned for next year to meet the demands of the Christmas shopping season.
Reiz is not an unknown place in the region - with around 40 shops, restaurants and 1,500 parking spaces, it is the largest shopping center in northwest Brandenburg. These modernization measures, which are expected to cost several million euros, will also take place in parallel with ongoing operations, which proves that there is a good hand for the future of Reiz.
The Kienast group and its role
Behind the new Reno branch is the Kienast Group, which has not only taken over the Reno brand rights, but also operates the ABC-Schuhcenter and K+K-Schuhcenter stores. With over 450 stores and more than 2,300 employees, the Kienast Group is giving new life to the Reno brand and showing that the demand for fashionable and affordable shoes remains high. This will bring a positive development for the region and the many job seekers.
So there is a lot to be excited about. The revival of Reno's appeal could boost retail in Neuruppin and offer the opportunity to participate in the local shoe market again. The coming months will be exciting, and it will be interesting to see how Reno's new concept will be received by the public.
