On Tuesday afternoon, June 17, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the country road between Klein and Groß Biesen, which led to a dramatic rescue operation. A 60-year-old woman was seriously injured in a collision with an oncoming truck. As reported by polizei.brandenburg.de, visibility obstructions caused by agricultural work next to the road could be considered as a possible cause of the accident.
The serious accident occurred at 3:45 p.m. Rescue workers were quickly on the scene and freed the injured woman from her vehicle. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was transported to a hospital by rescue helicopter. Fortunately, the truck driver was uninjured, while the damage to the two vehicles amounts to around 25,000 euros.
Use of the helicopter
Helicopter operations are an indispensable part of emergency and rescue services in Germany. They offer quick help, especially in traffic accidents, where every minute counts. However, the area of application also includes mountain rescues and police operations in order to be able to react optimally in critical situations.
