Next Saturday, October 11th, that will change Show Depot of the Potsdam Film Museum into a magical realm full of film adventures. The 15th edition of the family night will take place here from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., where children and their families in particular can go on a discovery tour through the fascinating universe of film objects.
The highlight of the event is exploring the film objects with flashlights. In an exciting flashlight tour from 7 p.m., little visitors can get active themselves and look for special props, such as the gold nugget from “Hans im Glück” or Rapunzel's braid. In addition, light and shadow plays are played in the foyer and workshop room, transforming the room into a dreamlike backdrop.
Special attractions and activities
The family night offers a varied program with creative film tricks that you can try out. Here children can play with the magic drum, the thaumatrope and the flip book. If you want to let your creativity run wild, you can create your own pictures using the Magic Lantern and the overhead projector. These interactive offerings make the event not only educational, but also a real experience.
