Not only is she the reigning German deaf champion in the 100 meter, 200 meter and long jump disciplines, but she also has an impressive series of medals to show for it.

In 2023 she won four gold medals at the European Championships in Stettin in the U20 and adult divisions. Her successes continue: In 2024, she won three medals at the World Championships in Taipei, including a gold medal in the 100-meter sprint at the Youth Deaf World Championships, which she achieved in a record time. Her success has also attracted the attention of personalities such as District Administrator Christian Tylsch, who congratulated Tessa in a personal letter for her remarkable achievements and praised her as a role model for young people in the Wittenberg region reported the Wittenberg district.

Preparing for the Deaflympics

Tessa Lange will compete again at the Deaflympics in Tokyo next November. After her participation in 2022, where she was already able to gain important experience, she is now optimistic about her second participation. She has prepared intensively during this time and recently trained for ten days in a training camp in the Algarve in Portugal under optimal conditions. Her goal is to make it to the finals in the 100 meter, 200 meter and 4x100 meter relay events and possibly win a medal or two reports SC Potsdam.

The Deaflympics themselves start on November 15, 2025 and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the event, which was originally launched in Paris in 1924 as the “International Silent Games”. In Tokyo, Team Germany will compete in twelve different sports, including athletics, handball and swimming.
