Turbine Potsdam: Victories and defeats – A week full of emotions!

The past week was extremely mixed for the youth teams of 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. While the C2 juniors and the D1 juniors were able to shine in their cup games, things didn't go according to plan for the U17s and the B2 juniors. In an insightful look back, it turns out that both individual performances and the opponents played a major role.

On October 31, 2025, the club's U17s were clearly defeated 0-5 against MSV 1919 Neuruppin I. The opponent showed remarkable physical and speed advantages, which led to two goals conceded in the first half. The team held up well in the second half of the game, but conceded three more goals. Despite good combinations, the U17 lacked the necessary precision in the passing game to withstand the pressure. So reported Turbine Potsdam.

Successful cup appearances for the C2 and D1 juniors

The C2 juniors, on the other hand, celebrated a convincing 7-0 win in the round of 16 of the state cup against SG Schwanebeck 98 on November 2nd, 2025. The team dominated the game from the start and was already leading 3-0 at halftime. In the course of the second half, the young talents showed that they really mastered scoring goals, resulting in four more goals. A nice success that lifts morale and makes you want more.

Things went similarly well for the D1 juniors, who also won 5-0 in the cup game against SV 1919 Woltersdorf. The opening goal came early in the third minute, and the players were not deterred by the opponent's good defensive play. The goalkeeper presented herself strongly and kept the goal clean, which supported the team in their further offensive.

Challenges for the adult teams

In contrast to the successful youth teams, the women's teams were less fortunate. The 2nd women's team lost 1:5 in the 2nd women's Bundesliga against 1. FC Union Berlin II on November 2nd, 2025. Although Turbine equalized in the 36th minute, they were 2-1 down at halftime and conceded three more goals in the second half.

In addition, the first women's team had to fight against VfL Wolfsburg II on the same day. With a 1:3 defeat, the team still has to wait for their first point of the season. Despite many offensive actions, it wasn't enough to cause serious problems for the opposing defense. The B2 juniors also played against FC Neuenhagen 1913 on the same day and lost 2-0 after the opponent took the lead in the 11th minute.
