14 projects in Prignitz receive 2.5 million euros in funding!
Something is happening in Prignitz! A total of 14 exciting projects have now received a financial boost of around 2.5 million euros to make their ideas become reality. This support comes from the Leader program, which also provides funds from the European Agricultural Fund and Brandenburg state funds. The Local Action Group (LAG) Storchenland Prignitz announced the good news after the sixth selection process, thus bringing a breath of fresh air to the region. As maz-online.de reports, 24 creative projects were submitted by October 2nd.
On November 3rd, the LAG Advisory Board let the points speak during the selection process. Following a well-thought-out point system, a priority list was created that forms the basis for funding decisions. The selected projects range from the redesign of a large stone grave to the energy-efficient renovation of village churches, which impressively underlines the diversity and liveliness of regional development.
Diverse projects in focus
What exactly is being funded? The list reads like an exciting program for the region:
- Neue Kita in Vehlow
These projects not only aim to stimulate the regional economy, but also contribute to the preservation of cultural monuments and improving the quality of life. The LAG Storchenland Prignitz coordinates the leader funding in the region and thus shows a good hand for the sustainable development of the Prignitz.
Outlook for the funding period
A total of around 7.5 million euros are available for Prignitz for the funding period 2023 to 2027, with around 5 million euros still available after the selection process. This means the next round of submissions is expected to take place in 2026. The initiators of the 14 selected projects can now get to work and prepare funding applications; final approval will follow after careful review by the responsible funding agency.
Overall, it can be said that the Leader program not only offers financial support for exciting projects, but also makes an important contribution to the municipal identity and development in Prignitz. A clear sign of the importance of regional initiatives that provide a breath of fresh air in the community.
