Elbe bathrooms 2025: Fun and action at Nedwighafen in Wittenberge!
Nedwighafen, Wittenberge, Deutschland - Summer is approaching, and with it the anticipation for the popular Elbe bathrooms in Wittenberge. From July 17th to 20th, 2025, Nedwighafen becomes a setting for numerous exciting activities that will inspire young and old. This year we celebrate the 24th edition of the event, which once started with a courageous leap into the Elbe. The organizer and sponsor of this colorful hustle and bustle is the German Society for Free of Destructure (DGZFP) reports .
The four days are all about water sports, with dragon boat races, swimming competitions and the popular elbow, which ensures creative water fun. Participants are pupils, local clubs and leisure teams who can look forward to exciting challenges and varied activities. The program ranges from junior dragon boat cups on the first two days to hearty competitions on weekends, such as the mix-dragon booting and electricity swimming for different Age groups.
A look at the daily program
The first day, Thursday, begins with the junior dragon boat cup of primary schools. At 7:30 a.m., the teams meet for team meetings, followed by the official opening at 8:00 a.m. This shows at an early stage that Wittenberge has a good knack for sporting competitions. The award ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. the junior boats leave the water for training unit.
On Friday, the secondary schools compete against each other, followed by an exciting relay swimming competition. The success record of recent years also shows that participation is always very popular. Companies and clubs will meet on Saturday, the mostly expected mix dragon boat race. The end is the Sunday with various swimming competitions, from children's swimming to the challenging 6000 meters. The event promises a big party for the whole family.

But not only the competitions attract people to the Elbe. The supporting program is also a highlight. There is something for everyone from bouncy castles to soccer courts to water walking balls. The event is rounded off with grill stalls, beer and snack cars and an ice cream parlor. Sunday is also accompanied musically by the Irish Folk band Old Green Clover, which will create a good atmosphere.
Registration for the bustle of elements with creative watercraft is another component of the program. Participants must register in good time, because neoprene suits can be borrowed for a small obolus of 20 euros. The return of the elbow operators to Wittenberge on Sunday will be crowned with a solemn award ceremony at 4:00 p.m.
