The Kulturhof Letschow, founded in 2022 by the Keppler family, has developed into a real center for music and culture. The family, which has lived in this idyllic corner for ten years, counts three generations: father Tony, mother Birgit, son Stefan, daughter-in-law Steffi and the two granddaughters Gesa and Alma. The sounds of our own punk rock band have been playing here since 2019 Seven acres, which will create a great atmosphere again this year.
A comprehensive program
The festival starts on Friday from 8 p.m. with live music and continues on Saturday afternoon. Bands of different genreswill perform, including the already announced “Luna Soul”, who delight with their mix of disco, funk and pop. They are on stage after the band “Range of Movement” from Rostock. The metal rockers “Coal & Crayon”, the stoner rock band “Wahnfried” and the folk duo “Peterson” will also not be missing. TheSpecialEntry to the festival is free to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to take part. Of course, donations are very welcome, as the organization is supported by funding programs such as “Living Democracy” and “Pop KW”. Food and drinks are available to buy in the evenings for hungry visitors; self-sufficiency is required during the day. A campsite is available, but this is limited.
Creative workshops and other activities
If you want to get creative in the breaks between concerts, you can take part in various workshops.A graffiti workshop led by Paul Sekoas well as a photo workshop by Friedrich Schuster are offered. There is something for everyone here! Participation criteria are simple – a little enthusiasm and an interest in art are enough.
AInformation standwith information from “Democracy Life MV”, “Grandmas against the Right MV” and “Radio LoHro” will also be there and encourage discussion of social issues.
When it comes to getting there, there are practical options: you can take the S-Bahn from Rostock to Schwaan and from there you can cycle the last part of the way. If you prefer to travel comfortably, you can order the Rubi on-call bus via the Rubi app.
What's particularly nice is that the combination of music, art and community makes the LetschRock Festival not only a musical highlight, but also a platform for cultural exchange. It becomes clear that the commitment of Birgit, Tony and their family not only contributes to the enrichment of the region, but also conveys a feeling of togetherness.
