New rail connections: Travel faster from Berlin to Poland now!

There is exciting news for travelers between Germany and Poland about the timetable change in December 2025. Deutsche Bahn and PKP Intercity are expanding their offerings to include additional rail connections. From December 14th, instead of the previous 11, there will now be 17 direct connections available for return journeys. This makes the trip to Poland much more comfortable and attractive.

One of the most anticipated new connections will be the regular route between Leipzig, Wroclaw and Krakow, with two trains per day in each direction. There is also good news for travelers from Munich, Nuremberg or Frankfurt: the travel time to southern Poland is reduced by around two hours. This will further increase the tourist attractiveness of these regions.

Extended connections and night trains

In addition, a new daily connection will be set up between Warsaw and Berlin, offering a total of seven pairs of trains every two hours. Night trains are not neglected either; Among other things, a new night train is planned between Berlin and Przemysl on the Polish-Ukrainian border. This means travelers can easily commute between countries even overnight.

Another planned night train will run between Berlin and Chelm via Lodz and Warsaw, strengthening connections to its eastern neighbors. The existing night train connection from Munich to Warsaw will also be equipped with additional carriages to improve connections between Munich, Krakow and Przemysl. These developments offer travelers more flexibility and options for their trips.
