Perleberg in a state of emergency: traffic closures for the late shift!

On Friday, June 20th, the pedestrian zone in Perleberg will be the venue for the traditional late shift. As [Nordkurier](https://www.nordkurier.de/regional/prignitz/perleberger-spaetschicht-diese-strassen- Werden-gesperrt-3673468) reports, the organizers are expecting numerous visitors who would like to take part in this sociable event in the evening hours. However, in order to cope with this rush, some traffic restrictions and road closures are necessary.

Bäckerstrasse and Hagen will be completely closed to vehicle traffic from 9 a.m. onwards. These measures are necessary to enable the construction and dismantling of the stands and attractions. Two parking spaces at the shoe market will also be blocked for the duration of the event. However, there are no restrictions for pedestrians and they can attend the event without any problems.

Traffic adjustments and detours

The closures will take effect around 4 p.m. and will remain in place until the end of the event, which is scheduled for around 11 p.m. Traffic is asked to avoid the city center, even if no special diversion is signposted. Instead, visitors can use the surrounding streets. It is recommended to always keep an eye on traffic information to avoid inconvenience.

Those interested should also take note of the traffic disruptions that have already been announced during the PerleBÄM street art festival! on May 24th and 25th. The city center will also be affected by numerous closures, starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday. These include, among other things, the shoe market, the Great Market and several street sections. However, all closures will be lifted again on Sunday evening, May 25th, at 7 p.m., which will result in regular use of the streets, as [City Perleberg].

Safety aspects in focus

Security plays a crucial role at such major events. According to NRW, municipalities have to examine specific security aspects in order to minimize potential dangers. The jointly developed safety guidelines offer a structured approach to the planning and implementation of events with increased risk potential. This not only ensures the safety of visitors, but also improves the accountability of all parties involved.

Compliance with these guidelines ensures that all citizens and visitors to the city can experience a relaxed and safe time celebrating the late shift and other events. The Perleberg team is looking forward to a colorful celebration and hopes for numerous guests!
