The legal basis for the introduction of the advisory board is anchored in the Brandenburg municipal constitution, which obliges cities to promote the participation of children and young people. There are different opinions when discussing age limits: One proposal stipulates that members be between 14 and 25 years old. On the other hand, the Free Voters are calling for younger children aged six and over to be included. Financial support and development of the advisory board

For the coming year, 4,000 euros have already been earmarked in Pritzwalk's budget to finance the advisory board's projects and activities. Through the work of the advisory board, the city hopes to strengthen the connection between the young generation and the administration and relevant institutions.
