Train cancellations for the holiday: Important information for travelers to BER!

What is happening in our city on the last evening of October? A look at current events and travel connections in and from Berlin sheds light on the matter. So tonight it's traditionally “Trick or Treat” again - Halloween is just around the corner and the bright pumpkins are lighting up. But while the little ghosts and ghosts roam the streets, there is several important pieces of information for travelers this evening and in the coming days.

In today's edition of "DER TAG in Berlin & Brandenburg", which is broadcast daily from 6:00 p.m. on [rbb Fernsehen](https://www.rbb-online.de/ Fernsehenen/programm/14_11_2025/1989296.html), viewers can expect a varied program. The 90-minute program offers current news, exciting everyday stories and useful information from the region, live from the studio and on site. Special attention is paid to the stories from Lusatia to Prignitz and the Berlin neighborhoods.

Traffic information for travelers

Unfortunately, the celebrations cannot remain unaffected by train cancellations. rbb24 reports that on the nights of October 31st to November 1st and November 1st to 2nd between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. several trains between Berlin Central Station and BER Airport are canceled. There are also restrictions on train traffic between Berlin Ostbahnhof and BER. Travelers are therefore advised to look for alternative connections.

Further changes to train operations are expected in the following weeks. On November 5th and December 3rd, individual trains from Berlin-Charlottenburg to BER will also be affected between midnight and 4 a.m. A recurring problem at the weekend is the trains that run during the night of the 10th/11th. November and on 11th/12th November ends or begins differently in Schönefeld, while stops at BER Airport are omitted.

Outlook for the coming days

A lot is also expected of travelers in November: there will be numerous diversions and cancellations from November 6th to 8th and December 4th to 6th. The trains then often end in Berlin-Lichtenberg, while the stops in the large train stations, such as Berlin Hauptbahnhof, are not served. Users of alternative connections should therefore exercise extreme caution on the affected days.

Overall, there is a lot of movement in current train operations, which will also have some 'Halloween mysteries' in store in the next few weeks, and not just in a figurative sense. With good planning and a pinch of calm, travelers can get through the disturbing nights of late October.
