Marketplace in Spremberg tight: Shuttle for the club festival ensures chaos!

Spremberg, Deutschland - In the coming days there will be a lot going on in Spremberg! From July 11th to 14th, 2025, the marketplace in Spremberg will remain close due to various events. This measure affects the entire period from Friday, 8 a.m. to Monday, 8 a.m., which means that parking and holding on the marketplace are not allowed during this time. For everyone who still wants to go to the city center, the small market remains accessible - however, access is only possible via Schlossstrasse.

The block ensures that the connection from the marketplace to the small market can not be used throughout the entire duration. However, there are some practical solutions for all visitors who still want to take part in the events. On Saturday, July 12th, the large parking bag on Bahnhofstrasse from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. is used as a shuttle location for trips to the club festival in Graustein.

Alternative parking and weekly market

The alternative parking spaces for visitors include Töpferstraße, the Pfortenplatz, the Parkeck on Jägerstraße, Georgenstraße and Muskauer Straße. So you can quickly be on the safe side when you want to go to the festive activities, even if it gets tight on the marketplace. And don't worry - the weekly market will take place on Thursday, July 10, as usual, so that the local dealers and visitors will continue to be well looked after!

new market bus connection to Spremberg

From March 21, 2024, the German market guild offers a new market bus that brings the residents of Graustein and other surrounding places directly to the Spremberger weekly market. A simple journey costs 1.90 euros and the bus drives back after two hours. This offer hopes to revitalize the city center and attract more visitors.

The first two routes of the market bus are as follows:

• First route: Departure at 8.10 a.m. by Graustein/Syjk with stops in Schönheide/Prašyjca, Lieskau/Lěsk, Reuthen and further, return from marketplace at 11 a.m.
• Second route: departure at 9.30 a.m. in Terpe/Terpje at the Kindergarten stop, return trip from marketplace at 12 p.m.

The return trip costs 3.80 euros. The offer is initially tested for four appointments and if there is sufficient encouragement, it could remain in the long term.
