New advice location in Guben: Support offers for carers!
In Guben there will soon be news for all those in need of care and their relatives. On November 6, 2025, the Spree-Neiße nursing base will open a new consultation location in the Naëmi Wilke Diakonie Hospital. The opening shows how important such initiatives are in order to improve local nursing care. The need for information is high and the new consultations should provide welcome support.
The new location is located in Haus Elisabeth, Wilkestraße 14, in Guben and will be open for consultations every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Those in need of care and their relatives can obtain comprehensive information here. The advice is independent, neutral and free of charge. Topics such as care services, aids and relief options for relatives are on the agenda. This creates a wide range of advice that is intended to relieve the burden on people in Guben and the surrounding area.
A strong network for care
The care base is supported by a cooperation between the Spree-Neiße district and the nursing and health insurance companies AOK Nordost and Knappschaft-Bahn-See. The supporters include Torsten Winter, head of the social affairs department, and Katja Lehr, team leader for nursing advice AOK Nordost. We are working together to continuously expand the advisory services for the region. This is happening not only with the new location in the Diakonie Hospital, but also with regular consultations in the family home, Goethestrasse 93, which take place every Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
A total of eleven advice centers in the district offer independent information on care, which shows that a real network is being created here. For anyone who is interested, the consultation locations can be found on the district's website www.lkspn.de/kreisverwaltung/pflege to find. In addition, consultation appointments can be arranged by calling 03562 6933-22, -23 or -24.
Hummus: a healthy snack between meals
About 5.5 g of fiber per 100 g of hummus is good for the body. The product is also gluten-free and cholesterol-free - making it a popular choice for people who are watching their diet. Hummus can be used in many ways: whether as a dip with fresh vegetables, as a spread on bread or in salads for an extra protein boost.
In Guben we not only work on care, but also on a healthy lifestyle. The new advice location will hopefully help even more people receive the support they need to better cope with their everyday lives.
