Water Tower Festival in Forst: 20 years break, now it's time to celebrate!

There will be a big celebration again this year in Forst (Lausitz) from August 22nd to 24th! After a long break of 20 years, the popular water tower festival is finally taking place again. Organizer Hardy Sperlich and his supporters from Volksbank Spree-Neiße have put together a great program that will delight visitors. The festival site is located directly at the water tower, next to the swimming pool on Jahnstrasse, and entry is free.

What awaits the celebrants? There will be a varied program over three days, ranging from stage performances to a pleasure mile and a showman area. Four large rides await on the festival grounds: the “Breakdance”, the “Bumper Car”, the “Techno Ship” and the “Windshield Wiper”. Numerous stalls with grilled dishes, burgers, fish and Hungarian langos as well as sweet temptations such as crepes, quark balls, churros, chocolate fruits, roasted almonds, cotton candy and ice cream ensure your physical well-being.

The program in detail

The stage program starts on Friday, August 22nd, at 7 p.m. with the opening by the mayor and the traditional draft beer tapping. The band Neo will then play, followed by fireworks at 10:30 p.m. and DJ Halbsteiv until well after midnight.

The organizer's goal is clear: the water tower festival should become an annual tradition. Preparations are in full swing and the anticipation is huge!

A look at digital education

In addition to the festivities in Forst, we would like to address another point that might be of interest to teachers: A virtual self-study course on integrating artificial intelligence into pedagogical practice will be offered from January 1st to February 5th, 2025.
