Wizz Air sends new flights to Bucharest – BER becomes a hub!

The aviation industry at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is currently experiencing a remarkable upswing. Wizz Air has significantly expanded its offering and added new connections. Travelers can now fly directly to Bucharest, Romania, with up to five flights per week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. An additional Wednesday flight is offered in the winter months of December and January. The flight time to Bucharest is around two hours and ten minutes, which makes this connection extremely attractive, especially for anyone who wants to explore the Romanian capital. This news comes at the right time, as niederlausitz-aktuell.de reports.

But that's not all: Wizz Air has also expanded existing routes. In the future, the aircraft will fly to Varna, Bulgaria, four times a week - that is doubling the previous frequency. Chişinău in Moldova is also increasing in popularity, as the route will initially be served with four flights per week and from December 16th even with five. Albania is also very popular, as six to seven weekly flights to Tirana will be offered there in the future, which means an increase of up to two flights per week.

A relaxed winter flight schedule

For the 2025/2026 winter season, Wizz Air plans to increase its flight offering by around 33 percent overall. This also means that 44 percent more seats will be provided than in the same period last year, achieved through greater use of the modern A321neo. BER Airport is thus consolidating its role as an international hub for Eastern Europe. From March 16, 2026, there will also be four weekly flights to Bratislava, Slovakia, and from March 30, 2026, a new connection to Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina will start, which includes three flights per week. Wizz Air is serious about strengthening its presence at BER and expanding its route network towards Southeastern Europe.

Wizz: More than just flying

The Wizz platform, which has established itself as a digital meeting place for young people, is also interesting. Here, teens can connect, make new friends, and build meaningful connections without social pressure. Wizz enables spontaneous conversations by connecting users who are online at the same time. The service offers a variety of options for quick interactions or deeper conversations that go beyond simple acquaintance. Wizz's aim is to promote natural exchange, without geolocation or grouping into specific communities, which increases the chances of making new friends regardless of your own interests. This shows how versatile Wizz is both in travel and in the digital space, as wizzapp.com describes.

In the information and data world, security is not without importance. At eCAC, the Centro Virtual de Atendimento, strict attention is paid to data protection. Users not only have to deal with the technical aspects of the platform, but also with the legal responsibilities established according to the privacy and usage policies. This means that use remains reliable and safe, as the information on receita.fazenda.gov.br impressively shows.
