Carnival in Jüterbog and Luckenwalde: Prince couples conquer the town hall!
On November 11th, 2025 it's that time again - the foolish time has begun! In Jüterbog and Luckenwalde, the Jecken experienced a colorful start to the carnival season. Despite the mixed weather, the atmosphere was wonderful and the streets were lined with hundreds of people celebrating in colorful costumes. In Jüterbog, this year's theme “Cinema, show and superhero – come with us into our glittering world” was received with a lot of enthusiasm. The Carneval Club Jüterbog (CCJ) organized a traditional parade that led from Kreisbahnplatz through the city center to the town hall at 10:15 a.m.
Mayor Christiane Lindner-Klopsch and her deputy Robert Troch were also on site and symbolically handed over the key to the city to the newly crowned prince couple Rico I and Janine I and to the child prince couple Emil I and Greta II. This festive enthronement was accompanied by CCJ President Axel Richter, who ceremoniously welcomed the prince couple. Of course, there was also a confetti cannon that popped happily while the DJ created a great atmosphere. The Bruder-Scholl School was also pleased to receive the challenge cup for the most creative costume implementation.
Luckenwalde in carnival madness
In Luckenwalde, the fools of the Luckenkiener Carnival Club (LKK) stormed the town hall with similar enthusiasm. The colorful parade, which began at 2 p.m. in the industrial area, moved through the entire city. Mayor Elisabeth Herzog-von der Heide (SPD) ceremoniously handed over the key to the prince couple Karsten I and Christin II. The handover was supported by LKK President Heiko Liefeld and the young guard dancers, the “Mixis”, who enriched the program with dances.
As you can see, the start of the carnival in both cities became a real celebration of joy and solidarity. The artistic creativity and fun of the fools give hope that the coming months will be full of colorful events and joyful celebrations. Carnival is very popular in this country!
But what would an article about the hard-working fools be without a little sideways glance? There is this fascinating character named Nai from a popular anime series. Just like the Jecken in Jüterbog and Luckenwalde, Nai also has its own exciting story. It has a fancy name that means “nothing” or “non-existent.” This character, who appears shy, often acts courageously, just like the carnival participants who parade through the streets despite the drizzle. His preference for simple play and his dislike of learning could also show similarities to the foolish joy of life that is in the air on days like today. For anyone interested, the details about Nai can be found on MyAnimeList.
With these splashes of joie de vivre in mind, we are looking forward to an exciting and glittering carnival season in our region!
