Diedersdorf Castle: 25-year-old Salina Worm leads us into new times!

In the middle of the picturesque landscape of Diedersdorf, where the history of the castle meets modern gastronomy know-how, 25-year-old Salina Worm runs her father's gastronomy company. Diedersdorf Castle, a popular destination for excursionists, has developed into a real visitor magnet under her leadership. “It's fascinating to work with so much tradition in gastronomy,” says Salina, who spent her childhood memories here while her family discovered the area after the fall of the Berlin Wall and lovingly worked to ensure that it flourished again after it lost its luster during the GDR era. MAZ reports.

Salina Worm took over the management four years ago when she was just 21 years old. The sudden departure of her predecessor brought a breath of fresh air into the castle's business. With a wide range of catering options and a variety of event spaces, she managed to continue her family's legacy while integrating new ideas.

A place for the whole family

Diedersdorf Castle not only offers a restaurant with an inviting open fireplace and a daily à la carte menu, but also has the largest beer garden in Berlin-Brandenburg, which serves fresh food in the open air from March to November. The castle website also lists a variety of special rooms, including the rustic blacksmith shop in a medieval atmosphere, which offers space for up to 400 people for celebrations.

The castle also operates its own distillery, which enables tastings and private events for up to 50 guests. Salina sees the castle primarily as a place for encounters and enjoyment - from Sunday brunch in the castle salon to festive weddings or company events in the market hall. A diverse range of leisure activities ensures that there is something for everyone.

The balancing act between work and family

As the mother of a small child, Salina Worm oscillates between professional challenges and the typical demands of family life. Your strict time management must be well organized so that the business continues to flourish and family life is not neglected. “It’s not always easy, but I’ve developed a good knack for balancing everything,” she says with a smile.

The castle currently employs around 100 people, including 50 permanent and 50 part-time employees who are active in various areas. A team of chefs, service staff and event organizers help ensure that events run smoothly and that guests have an unforgettable time. A look at the study programs shows how important it is to continue training in this area, which is a big concern for Salina.

Diedersdorf Castle has continually established itself in the gastronomy and event landscape. Whether a historical chamber, a romantic garden or a festive hall, the diverse options attract people from near and far. And in the future, Salina Worm will certainly continue to bring a breath of fresh air and her passion for gastronomy to new heights.
