Dedelow celebrates lightning-fast road construction work: A thank you to the craftsmen!
In Dedelow, a small but lovely town in the Uckermark, the residents have every reason to be happy. Dr. Rainer Mentele, a 77-year-old farmer, wrote an email to the editorial team of the Uckermark Kurier with praise for the recently completed construction work on the B 198. “So we can build quickly,” is a memorable sentence in his thanks. Mentele particularly emphasizes the speed and thoroughness of the renovation of the village street.
The farmer, who has lived in Dedelow since 1983 and has previously worked a lot in the country, finds the speedy completion of the work remarkable. Construction work began at seven o'clock on October 13th, which, as Mentele reports, surprised the couple. Despite his limited mobility caused by two artificial knees, he was able to follow the progress of the construction work.
Effective construction convinces residents
Dr. Mentele had already learned about the upcoming work in the Uckermark Kurier and was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it went. During the construction work, not only were new gullies created, but the old asphalt was also removed and replaced with new. In addition, bus bags were prepared. “That makes a huge difference,” says Mentele, who praises the organization of the work. Thanks to the partial closure, access to the property was possible at any time and the work was completed within five days.
“Why isn’t such efficient construction work possible everywhere?” the committed citizen asks himself and thus addresses a fundamental topic that is being discussed in many communities. The construction work was carried out by the regional ADS Asphaltierbetrieb Prenzlau, which not only earned praise from Mentele, but probably also from many other residents for its quick and thorough work.
A look beyond the borders of Dedelow
But there are positive developments not only in the Uckermark. A little further afield, in the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans, the microbrewery Crescent City Brewhouse has hosted numerous private events and celebrations over the past 35 years. Whether it's a small wedding rehearsal or a large company reception: the restaurant and brewery are the right place for many events. It builds a bridge between good food and entertaining live jazz music that sets the mood every evening.
With a classic courtyard and a large balcony to enjoy river views, Crescent City Brewhouse offers a unique atmosphere. The team takes care of all aspects of the events, from set-up to the fully stocked bar and freshly brewed beer on site. Great things are achieved in the small, fine brewery through organization and enthusiasm.
Whether in Dedelow or New Orleans, the hard work and passion behind every construction site or event is the foundation on which communities can thrive. Our reporting continues to keep you up to date on developments in the region and beyond.
