Burglars strike during the holiday weekend: E-bike gone!
A cozy long weekend is often used as the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. Not so for burglars, who apparently chose exactly this time for their criminal activities. The police reported on Monday about two incidents that were reported in the region on Saturday.
In Milow, a small town in the municipality of Uckerland, unknown people failed to break into the community center. The entrance door held firm, but the material damage caused by the failed attempt amounts to several hundred euros. An expensive joke for the community, which now has to take care of the repairs. Such incidents diminish the value of the neighborhood and cause concern among residents.
Burglary in Angermünde
While the perpetrators in Milow were unsuccessful, their colleagues in Angermünde, Gustav-Bruhn-Straße, looked at their cards less clumsily. Here the burglars managed to break into two entrances. In total, they broke into four cellar sheds and stole an e-bike - and that was a bitter setback for the owner, who is now faced with property damage amounting to around 4,000 euros.
The criminal police have started the investigation and are now looking for clues to the whereabouts of the stolen bicycle. As we all know, hope dies last and perhaps local residents have noticed something suspicious that could help solve the crime.
Unfortunately, break-ins are nothing new these days. Citizens repeatedly notice that criminals show cold blood when it comes to other people's property. Such acts raise fears and make it clear how important it is to have a healthy neighborhood where people keep an eye on each other. Even though the holidays are just around the corner, that doesn't mean you can let your guard down.
This makes it all the more important that citizens support each other and remain attentive. Maybe there are clues or even surveillance cameras nearby that could help solve the crime. Together we can strengthen the sense of security in the area and prevent such incidents from happening again.
Police encourage all residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious movements immediately. Whether in Milow or Angermünde – together we can ensure that our place of residence remains a safe place.
