First QinoQuilloFilmFest: A feast for the eyes and ears in Falkenhagen!
On November 15, 2025, a very special event will take place in the northwestern Sugar Mark: The first “QinoQuilloFilmFest” opens its doors at Hof Quillo in Falkenhagen. Under the motto “A day for all eyes”, the festival starts promptly at 11 a.m. and offers film enthusiasts and the curious a varied program that continues into the evening, as nordkurier.de reports.
The Quillo farm is no longer just a place to watch films; it has developed into a lively cultural meeting place. With its impressive wooden construction and inviting “glass bar”, it has become the heart of contemporary culture in the region. Since 2004, the farm has been gradually transformed into a center for music, theater, socio-culture and film and has been established as one of the regional cultural anchor points in Brandenburg since 2022.
An exciting film program
Film lovers can look forward to an exquisite selection of films. The Oscar-winning animated film “Flow”, which tells of a curious cat in a changing city, starts at 11 a.m. Directly afterwards at 1 p.m. will be the documentary “About us, from us,” which takes a look at the lives of young people in Eberswalde.
The slapstick comedy “Hundreds of Beavers” will provide humorous entertainment at 3:30 p.m., delighting the audience with a good dose of imagination. At 6 p.m. the documentary “Silent Comrade” is on the program, which deals with the topics of humans, animals and memory. Those interested have the opportunity to talk to director Leonhard Hollmann afterwards. The crowning conclusion of the day is the silent film classic “Waxworks” at 8 p.m., accompanied live on the accordion by Felix Kroll.
Cozy atmosphere and sociable offerings
Between the film screenings, your physical well-being will be taken care of in the usual Quillo atmosphere. Visitors can look forward to delicious soup, fresh popcorn as well as a cozy bar and campfire. The festival program not only offers cinematic highlights, but also numerous opportunities to linger and enjoy.
If you want to experience something on the eve of the festival on November 14th, you can watch the comedy “Alles Fifty Fifty” on the traditional Qino Friday at 8 p.m. and look forward to an entertaining evening.
The festival is organized by Ensemble Quillo, which is passionately committed to creating and promoting a creative and open culture in the rural environment. It is an excellent opportunity for everyone who wants to experience culture and community in a unique atmosphere, as nordwestuckermark.de highlights.
