Frank Schöbel returns: pop star celebrates nostalgia in Uckermark!
Frank Schöbel: Return to Groß Fredenwalde
Frank Schöbel, the well-known pop star, recently visited Groß Fredenwalde again after many years. Indulging in his memories, he looks back on the good times he spent there with his former partner Aurora Lacasa. “It was always a place full of happiness and beautiful experiences,” he remembers. Aurora's parents owned property in this idyllic town, which meant the family traveled there often. In particular, his in-laws' well-kept garden is deeply etched in his memory.
In conversation with the media, Schöbel states that, despite the challenges that East performers face in the media, his popularity remains unbroken. “It’s sad that radio stations often no longer play for Eastern artists,” said Schöbel. Like many of his colleagues, he still has the ability to shine with his performances and sell tickets well. His Christmas tour, which is already being advertised in the Uckermark, shows that he is still very popular. Tickets for the tour are available in advance.
Musical heart and fitness
Schöbel celebrated his 80th birthday in style in the Uckerseehalle in Prenzlau, another place that he associates with positive memories. “I still feel fit after all these years,” he notes, attributing this to good genes and discipline. Regular soccer games and visits to the fitness center keep him busy. After his performances, he takes the time to sign autographs and chat with his fans before heading home.
His tour will begin on November 27th in Löbau and end shortly before Christmas on the island of Rügen. On December 6th he will perform again in Prenzlau, and on Christmas Eve he plans to go to his daughter in Dresden. “A way to connect my family and music,” says the pop star.
The magic of the hit
The hit itself, in which Frank Schöbel plays a prominent role, is a style of European pop music. It is characterized by catchy melodies and simple, soulful lyrics, which often cover topics such as love and relationships. The origin of the term “Schlager” goes back a long way and originally meant “hit” or “blow”. The musical genre has a long history in Germany and Austria and has produced many well-known artists who have shaped the hit.
Despite the ever-changing trends in music since the 1990s, the hit remains an integral part of the German music landscape. Even if other styles dominate at times, there is always a return to the roots of the hit. Private radio stations have recently made hits popular again, which has also led to a revival of the scene.
In this sense, Frank Schöbel remains an indispensable part of this story, who continues to conquer the hearts of his fans with catchy melodies and personal stories. His determination to remain active shows that the hit will not disappear from the music landscape so quickly.
