The 7th Uckermark Women's Conference will take place on October 7, 2025 in the Prenzlauer Stadtmission. Under the motto “Strengthening women, involving women, connecting women”, the event sends a clear signal for social change. The Barnim Uckermark Community Foundation invites all women, especially those with a migration and refugee history, to network and exchange ideas.

The conference starts at 9:30 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. Karina Dörk, the Uckermärk district administrator, will underline the occasion in her greetings. The event focuses on important topics such as the effects of new regulations on the right to remain, integration and professional language courses and the political activity of women. The connection between antifeminism and right-wing extremism is also discussed - a topic that is very relevant in today's society.

A safe space for dialogue

The women's conference offers a protected space for dialogue. Relevant concerns can be discussed here and solutions for equal opportunities can be found. The community foundation highlights that many migrant and refugee women often experience inequality. Workshops by various organizations, including the Brandenburg Women's Political Council and the Amadeu Antonio Foundation, are intended to open up new perspectives and show concrete options for action.

Language training in several languages, including English, French, Farsi, Arabic and Russian, ensures that all participants have the opportunity to actively participate. The younger participants are also taken care of: child care is offered, which enables mothers to take part in the workshops without any worries.

Antifeminism as a social challenge

A central theme of the conference is anti-feminism, which is increasingly coming into focus. Loud bpb Antifeminism is closely linked to right-wing extremist ideologies that devalue women and queer people. Today, democratic actors must face the challenge of clearly distancing themselves from these positions. The conference aims to give space to feminist approaches and promote a more just society.

Registration for the women's conference is necessary and can be done by email flaemig@buergerstiftung-barnim-uckermark.de. If you have further questions, you can contact Sekine Flämig at 015206061026 contact.

Take advantage of the opportunity and become part of a strong community! The Uckermark Women's Conference is more than just an event; it is an opportunity to stand up and find a voice together.
