They were active for ten days and were the first hikers to successfully hike all of the newly developed hiking trails in this region. The two fell in love with the picturesque surroundings along the Elbe as they expanded their routes from initial short trips to more than 13 kilometers per day, like Northern Courier reported.

The hiking trails that the municipality has set up allow nature lovers to experience the beauty of the southern lowlands up close. For each stage they completed, the Goldbrunners received a stamp in their hiking notebook, which the satisfied hikers always carried with them. Their achievement was rewarded with a gold badge and a small gift.
