Young talents from Volksdorf inspire with photos and paintings!

The small but fine gallery in Volksdorf was the venue for the fourth and final art exhibition of the year on November 4th, 2025. A good 60 visitors came to admire the talented siblings Lennard and Ida Ahrendt. The event was opened by Sabine Berendse, who warmly welcomed those present and highlighted the creative achievements of the two young artists. The exhibition is an appealing mix of photography and painting that awakens emotions and provides insights into the world of the two siblings.

The creative minds

Lennard, a 12-year-old student at the Fritz Reuter School in Demmin, showed his impressive photographs that capture his hometown from new perspectives. Paul Torsten Hahn, known for his expertise in the art scene, particularly emphasized Lennard's technical finesse and the natural expressiveness of the motifs. His pictures, which are often inspired by his beloved moped, reflect an “eye for the beauty of our homeland”.

Unfortunately, his 14-year-old sister Ida was unable to come to the opening, but still impressed with her paintings, which captivated with their joy of experimentation and courage. Her works invite viewers to dare to try new things and discover the beauty of art. Christine Dunkel and Werner Werdenmann from Nossendorf were also enthusiastic about the siblings' achievements.

Cultural commitment and outlook

State parliament member Enrico Schult (AfD) even came by to celebrate the exhibition, who praised the creative work and commitment of the people of Volksdorf to cultural life. ##The MP's statement is a clear indication of the importance of local art and community engagement in enriching the cultural life of the region. Such an incentive could also lead to future events.

Sabine Berendse and Paul Torsten Hahn are already thinking about new ideas for upcoming exhibitions. The high number of visitors shows that art and culture are important even in small places like Volksdorf and attract spectators. We can look forward to the next steps of this creative initiative, which will sustainably promote the cultural life of the region.
