Children's festival in Prenzlau: fun and events for young and old!

Last Saturday, a colorful children's festival took place in the picturesque seaside resort of Prenzlau, which captivated young and old alike. Under the motto “You and your club”, numerous local clubs invited people to a fun day full of activities for the whole family. The rush was huge: around 1,400 visitors, including families with children, flocked to the seaside resort to take advantage of the great offers and have fun together.

The event was ceremoniously opened by Vice Mayor Marek Wöller-Beetz, who also actively took part in the adult relay. The smallest participants from various primary schools and daycare centers competed against each other in exciting competitions. The results of the competitions showed the enthusiasm of the kids and the commitment of the educators. The performance of the “Geschwister Scholl” daycare center was particularly outstanding, taking first place in its category, followed by “Wonderland” and “Friendship”.

Clubs in action

The organization of the festival would not have been possible without the valuable support of the local associations. These included, among others, the D 92 rabbit association, the town twinning association, and numerous sports clubs. These clubs offered stands and hands-on activities that brought fun and adventure to the children: from petting rabbits to dragon boat rides to dance performances - there was something for everyone. The leisure activities ranged from a popcorn machine and bouncy castles to quizzes and football darts, which were very popular throughout the day.

Another highlight was the musical program from “KRAWUTTKES Kindermusik”. The band captivated listeners young and old with a rousing live concert at 11:30 a.m. The supporting program kept faces smiling throughout the day, and the large make-up stand in particular was a popular starting point for imaginative transformations.

Activities for everyone

The variety of activities was a successful mix of sporting challenges, creative workshops and culinary delights. In addition to the popular “rolling beeswax candles”, the opportunity to watch sporting competitions was a welcome change for everyone present. Bathing operations were closed that day, which created space for undisturbed activities and a safe environment for the little water lovers.

The support from sponsors such as Wohnbau, Sparkasse Uckermark and Stadtwerke played a crucial role in making this festival a great experience for all participants. Whether competing, playing or simply enjoying the food and drinks – the children's festival in Prenzlau was a complete success that will certainly be remembered fondly.

For many families, the day was not just a celebration, but also a valuable opportunity to get to know the various clubs and what they have to offer. One can say with certainty: Not every place can offer an event like this, and next year we will certainly take a closer look when it's called “You and your club” again.
