Daycare children conquer the arena: animal tricks delight spectators!
This summer is not an ordinary one in Hohengüstow and Schmölln. On August 11, 2025, 39 children from the Dorfspatzen daycare center and the Zwergenland daycare center experienced an unforgettable project week in collaboration with Circus Benjamin. A colorful hustle and bustle surrounded the daily exercises, where the kids not only had fun, but also practiced remarkable tricks with animals such as goats, ferrets, pigeons, a dog and running ducks. The joy and enthusiasm of the little artists was clearly noticeable, and the former daycare children from Hohengüstow enriched the group of 27 children who experienced a real adventure together with 12 others from Schmölln. Nordkurier reports on this creative initiative, which was made possible by a strong main sponsor, Enertrag, as well as the support of other partners such as Tiplo, Keßler-Bau AG and Achmed Malischewski-Elektroinstallation.
The organization of the project week was in the hands of Judith Gässler, who played a key role in ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Parents and teachers actively pitched in, be it in setting up and dismantling the tent or in other areas, to create the framework for this exciting week. At the end there was the final performance on the program, where the children proudly presented what they had learned. The warm applause from the audience, many thanks to the audience for their support, was a great highlight.
Insights into circus life
Circus Benjamin is known for not only delighting children with its individual guest performances, but also taking adults on an exciting journey into the world of circus arts. A look at the official website shows that the program is offered all year round. Various performances are offered, including clown numbers and impressive animal training, which will put a smile on the faces of spectators young and old.
As part of circus projects, the children not only learn about their own talents, they also develop self-confidence. Similar positive experiences have been confirmed by other circus projects, such as the Circus Klecks project. At numerous events in various locations, emphasis was placed on giving children the opportunity to try things out and feel proud of their shorter performances. Such initiatives remain in the memory of not only the children, but also their parents, as reports from concerned parents show. The unforgettable stories of performances and the kindred friendships among the children demonstrate the deep impact such programs have on the lives of those involved.
In summary, we can say: The children's project week in the Dorfspatzen daycare center and the Zwergenland daycare center was a complete success. Thanks to the commitment of Circus Benjamin and the help of parents and supporters, the kids were able to discover their talent and present it in an inspiring setting. Circus life - whether in daycare centers or retirement homes - remains a memorable experience for everyone who is allowed to take part in it.
