Vintage car rally thrills the region: over 100 vehicles experience great fun!
The “OCC Coastal Trophy” in the picturesque Müritz region recently attracted classic car enthusiasts from all over the country. The event started on June 29, 2025, the final day of this ten-day event, and attracted visitors with 111 historic vehicles, including rarities. What's special: This was the 16th edition of the rally and the first to take place in this enchanting region. Agroneum Alt Schwerin reported on the diversity of the participants, which spanned construction years from 1913 to 2000.
The starting point of the rally was Fleesensee Castle, from where the route led through a beautiful piece of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg. During the journey, the participants passed various station points that offered interesting experiences for fans of classic cars as well as those interested in culture and nature. The drivers had to stop briefly at stamp points such as the Agroneum Alt Schwerin and Wesenberg Castle to familiarize themselves with the local conditions. We are Müritzer emphasizes that the entire route covered around 450 kilometers and offered first-class opportunities for sightseeing and culinary delights.
A festival for classic car fans
The event attracted not only passionate car collectors, but also families eager to enjoy a day outdoors. At the same time, the “third tractor and vintage car fun” took place in Penzlin, where up to 100 vehicles from the 50s and 60s as well as GDR models and agricultural machinery could be admired. With this event, the organizers Marie-Kristin and Dirk Lindemann provided a real highlight for everyone interested.
One of the outstanding exhibitors was classic car owner Frank Palme, who showed up with his 1965 Volga M21. The prices for such vehicles range between 15,000 and 40,000 euros, depending on their condition. “It doesn’t always have to be a Ferrari; vintage cars from the GDR are also very popular,” explains Frank. What was particularly impressive was that Sandra Palme wore her wedding dress to the exhibition - a real eye-catcher!
A local celebration for everyone
In addition to the vehicle exhibition, the audience was able to enjoy local delicacies such as bratwurst and goulash, which created a pleasant family atmosphere. The Waren brass band also created the right atmosphere with their music. It was an event that offered an unforgettable experience not only for classic car lovers but also for many others.
The success of the event is reflected not least in the high demand: all 100 entries were taken just three weeks after the start. A successful concept that combined a driving experience with cultural and culinary impressions gives hope for a repeat in 2026. The next date for the “Tug and Classic Car Fun” has already been set and is scheduled for June 27, 2026. Uckermark Kurier reported the completely successful event, which reflected the fascination for historical technology in a festive setting.
