Premiere for the syndicate: only defeat in the first league game!
Football enthusiasts from the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania region can rejoice! On September 21, 2025, an exciting new era was heralded in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania district league. The LSV Triepkendorf and Germania Lychen have joined forces to form a syndicate under the name Triepkendorf/Lychen. This interaction marks the first cross-state syndicate in the region and was necessary because Germania Lychen can only register one team, after two teams previously existed. Triepkendorf also had personnel problems and was looking for a strong partner.
But what does it look like on the pitch? In their first league game, the newly formed team met MSV Alt Käbelich. The guests from Alt Käbelich ultimately had more effort, but were unable to take advantage of any of the many chances. The hosts had to struggle with building up the game and the grown team didn't seem very harmonious at times. Coach Kati Lemke noted that there is still a lot to improve in order to be able to play at the top of the Mallory rankings.
An exciting first match
In the second half, the team managed to gain new momentum into the game after five new players were substituted on. Christopher Ostrowski in particular stood out by causing a crucial foul in the penalty area. This led to a penalty, which was converted by Florian Gurzki - the beginning of a difficult hour for Triepkendorf/Lychen. Just two minutes after the first goal, Gurzki went one better and made it 0-2.
Reality shows that the new gaming community needs time to really grow together and collect the necessary points. It remains unclear how long this cooperation will last, but the potential is undoubtedly there. The challenge will now be to bring together the players' different playing styles and develop a well-rehearsed routine.
Next steps in the district league
The first challenge for the syndicate is not just the game itself, but also the organization and administration that is necessary to continue to be successful in the district league. So it remains to be seen how the start of the season will affect the morale and cohesion of the team.
Overall, it can be seen that the newly founded Triepkendorf/Lychen gaming community had to embark on an exciting but also challenging journey right from the start. It remains to be hoped that the next games will show more commitment and improved moves. With this in mind: here’s to an exciting season!
