From November 3rd, the swimming pool at the AHORN Seehotel in Templin will become a large construction site. This extensive construction work is necessary to bring the facility into shape. Investments in the six-figure range are required to carry out urgent repairs under the pool and to renovate the liner in the swimming pool. In addition, the connections will be renewed, which will contribute to the safety and attractiveness of the bathing facility. A key point of the renovation is the adjustment of the pool depth, which has been reduced from the previous 2 meters to 1.35 meters. This not only has an impact on the swimming courses offered by the schools that have previously used the hotel regularly, but also on what is available to guests.

Another aspect of the planned renovation is consideration of the wishes of hotel guests, especially families. Two years ago there were already considerations about changing the depth of the pool, but these were not implemented. The hotel is all the more pleased about the new final decision, which also provides for the provision of a larger non-swimmer pool. After consultation with the city of Templin, it became clear that tests for certain swimming levels are simply no longer possible at the previous pool depth.

Attractive offer for families

The hotel has decided to continue offering swimming lessons for children so that they can take off the seahorse. In order to make the swimming pool even more attractive, the construction of a slide is also being planned. These measures aim to make the swimming pool a real highlight for families and bathers. The desired comfortable water temperature of 30 degrees also plays a crucial role. Interestingly, with a pool depth of 1.35 meters, energy costs can also be saved, which benefits both the guests and the management.
