Hamburg, Deutschland - Carlo von Tiedemann, the legendary radio and television presenter of the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), died in Hamburg on June 8, 2025 at the age of 81. This was confirmed by his family to the NDR. Von Tiedemann suffered health problems in recent years that led to his death. born on October 20, 1943 in Stargard, Pomerania, Carlo von Tiedemann was the child of a lieutenant general of the Prussian army and grew up in a turbulent period. Due to the war, his family came to Hamburg in 1945, where he hit a journalistic career. After completing an apprenticeship as a publisher, he began his career as a volunteer at the "Cuxhaven Allgemeine" and later worked as a police reporter for the "Hamburger Abendblatt".
