Safe on the way: Hessen protects children in road traffic!

On Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, the Hessian police carried out a cross -border traffic safety campaign under the motto "Safe.Mobil.leben - Kinder Awil". The aim was to make road traffic safer, especially for children who often cannot correctly assess the dangers. With an impressive record of 295 police officers who were active at 112 locations in Hesse, both preventive actions and classic controls were carried out, including speed measurements in endangered locations such as schools and kindergartens.

The "Blitz for Kids" campaign in Frankfurt was a highlight in which children of the police present green tickets for correct behavior and yellow cards for speed overruns. With a total of 2,697 controlled vehicles, 975 violations were found, including high speeds and mobile phone use at the wheel. The traffic safety measures left a positive impression, since many road users were informed about potential dangers and increased awareness of consideration on the streets.
