Finally here! The new Lupcom Arena for Rostock's coatis opens

A happy day for the sports community in Rostock: The new “Lupcom Arena” was inaugurated in the Reutershagen district, which can now finally be put into operation after a ten-year planning and construction process. The operator of the hall is: 1. Inline Hockey Club Rostocker Coatis, which puts its clear focus on promoting inline skater hockey. The hall offers space for up to 500 spectators on an area of almost 1,500 square meters and is primarily used for the coatis' training and competitions.

The investment costs for the “Lupcom Arena” amount to around 1.5 million euros, with a considerable part, around 800,000 euros, being saved through contributions from members, friends and sponsors. This support shows how important the project is to the local community. The club currently has around 200 members and has determined that other sports clubs or companies can also rent the hall.

Sporting diversity and commitment

The 1st Inline Hockey Club Rostocker Nasebären is primarily active in the youth sector and offers a total of six teams. Inline skater hockey is an exciting alternative sport that is similar to ice hockey, but does not require ice. This sport in particular is growing more and more in the region and is of interest to young and old alike.

The club is celebrating its 20th anniversary next Saturday - a truly worthy occasion to inaugurate the new sports hall. Such a milestone is significant not only for the Coatis, but also for the entire community, as it shows how sports clubs contribute to the city's social and cultural diversity.

Accessibility of the hall

For all those who would like to visit the “Lupcom Arena” at the inauguration ceremony or later, the directions from various directions provide helpful information. Visitors from Lübeck can reach the hall via the A20 and B103. Anyone traveling from Berlin can also get to the hall via the A19 and A20. To arrive from Stralsund, use the A20 and the “Ost” exit. There are enough parking spaces in front of the hall, so that a smooth visit is guaranteed.

North German Radio reports that politicians are increasingly recognizing the importance of such sports spaces and have launched various initiatives to combat the renovation backlog at German sports facilities. Many funding programs support clubs in this area in order to strengthen popular, leisure and school sports. The financing of the hall was secured through various own funds, loans and donations.

With the “Lupcom Arena”, a new sports venue was created that not only expands the offerings for the Rostock coatis, but also contributes to promoting sport and exercise for all citizens of the city. The new hall will enrich sporting life in Rostock and offers many opportunities for the future.
