No more construction site frustration: New map shows traffic bottlenecks in the district!

A fresh construction site map draws attention to current road measures in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. The new online map, which is available at Northern Courier can be found, was developed to offer citizens a better overview of the ongoing construction work. This interactive map not only shows the road construction projects on district, state, municipal and federal roads, but also cycle paths are now taken into account.

The map offers the opportunity to search specifically for information about specific places or communities. Full closures are marked with red signs, partial closures with yellow signs and others with gray signs. By clicking on the respective signs, users receive detailed information about the duration, type of closure and changed traffic routes. And best of all: Current construction sites are continuously displayed while future construction sites are currently being checked.

Construction activities and investments

The activity on the street balance is by no means small. For example, there is currently a partial closure of the B321 in Bergrate Dorf until June 30th due to construction of cycle paths. Half-way work will also be carried out on the B191 at the Darze junction until June 27th. In addition, 700 meters of district road 117 in Greven is closed until June 29th, while the bridge over the Dove in Dömitz will remain permanently closed for new construction until the end of 2025. Last, but not least: Neustädter Straße in Ludwigslust will not be accessible until the beginning of July due to road repairs.

Loud Economy MV The Ludwigslust-Parchim district is investing over 16 million euros in transport infrastructure this year. This includes the expansion and maintenance of district roads as well as cycle paths and bridges. In its double budget for 2024/2025, the district council has already decided on important projects to significantly increase the quality of life of citizens through safer streets and attractive cycle paths.

Political perspective

The district is also being closely watched from the political side. The district association of the LEFT, which extends across the entire district, is committed to a more social and fairer society. With around 410 members and numerous city and community representatives, the association is not only politically active, but also part of social life in the district. The members are organized in various grassroots organizations, city and local associations and regional associations. In the association's goals, dialogue about political approaches and social issues is a top priority, as shown on the site THE LEFT LüP can be read.

The measures presented and the new construction site map are therefore an important step towards improving the infrastructure in the district and show that there is a lot going on here. Whether residents or commuters, everyone can now plan better and be informed about the development work.
