From June 25th to 29th, 2025, the Fusion Festival at the former Müritz Airpark military airfield in Lärz, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, will once again be a milestone for music lovers and festival fans from all over the world. Between 70,000 and 80,000 visitors are expected at the event, which is organized by the Kulturkosmos association. The festival offers a colorful program of dance and theater performances, workshops and panels based on different musical genres - from electronic music and hip hop to punk rock, jazz and world music. As the Berlin newspaper reports, there are still tickets available on an official resale platform, with regular festival tickets costing 220 euros, while Sunday tickets on June 29th from 8 a.m. for 70 euros are only available in cash.
Getting there is quite easy for festival visitors thanks to good transport connections. Those arriving by train can use the rail connection via Neustrelitz, where shuttle buses take guests to the festival site. Drivers can reach their destination via the A24, A19 and the Röbel exit. There are also numerous Bassliner shuttle buses available during the festival. When traveling from Berlin, Deutsche Bahn even uses special trains on the Berlin-Neustrelitz-Rostock route.
Safety measures and drug information
A particularly important topic this year is drug checking, which is being offered as part of the security measures for the first time. In cooperation with the Rostock University Medical Center, a mobile laboratory is used to analyze drug samples anonymously and free of charge for visitors. The Health Minister of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Stefanie Drese, is convinced of this measure and emphasizes that the federal state is a pioneer in the area of drug prevention at festivals. Those too NDR emphasizes that free drug checks not only provide information about visitors' consumption habits, but also warn against dangerous substances.
Last year a mobile drug check was tested at the festival, resulting in over 300 ecstasy pills having to be tested and three being deemed dangerous. This very welcome measure shows how serious the organizers are about ensuring the safety of guests. The state coordination center for addiction issues (Lakost) is now calling for nationwide drug checks at festivals in order to reach even more people.
