The game started very poorly for the team from Neustrelitz. In the fifth minute, TSG defender Justus Guth received a red card for an emergency stop action in his own penalty area. The resulting penalty was safely converted by John-Lukas Sauer and gave Rostock an early lead. Less than half an hour later, Sauer increased the lead to 2-0 and it seemed as if Hansa Rostock could take control of the game. Julian Rüh scored the third goal for the guests in the 67th minute and thus established a seemingly comfortable lead.

Neustrelitz comeback attempt

But TSG was far from giving up. Manuel Härtel reduced the score to 1:3 in the 71st minute, and just a minute later it was Kevin Akogo who reduced the gap to one goal. The pressure on Rostock increased, but the equalizer failed to materialize, even though Neustrelitz tried everything to get something countable. The number of spectators of 410 in the Parkstadion created a rousing atmosphere, even if there was no joy about winning a point in the end, according to Nordkurier reports.

This defeat could take its toll on the Neustrelitz players after they had recently shown an appealing form. Their next game against FC Viktoria Berlin on Friday will be another challenge - there's something coming up!
