Bowling growth inspires with Neubrandenburg sports games!

Neubrandenburg, Deutschland - Last weekend Neubrandenburg turned into a Mecca for young sports. Around 1,500 young athletes came together for the 16th youth sports games Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In total, more than 40 participants were active in bowling, where an exciting youth country comparison between Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg also developed. [Nordkurier] (https://www.nordkurier.de/regional/neubrandenburg/warens-kegel- afternoon-glaenzt-bebeit-in-neubrandenburg-3739224) reports that this was one of the main attractions of the event.

The weather god was not from its best side and caused some changes in the course with violent thunderstorms, but the mood remained positive overall. Already on the first day, July 6th, a sports camp of the sports youth Mecklenburg Lake District took place, which the young athletes attended the upcoming competitions. The event was organized by the State Sports Association (LSB), the district sports association and the city administration, with around 400 volunteers and referees being supported. LSB MV

cone competitions in focus

The Kegel offspring showed remarkable achievements. In the U14/U18 age range, 12 bowlers per team competed and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania secured first place with a clear victory against Brandenburg. This ended with 18: 6 points and a wooden lead from 6802 to 6598. The individual outputs are particularly noteworthy: Tessa Szabowsky from goods and Adrian Berndt shone in the U14 with 557 and 570 wood and in the U18 Nele Müller from Stralsund (592 wood) and Artur Hoppe from Brandenburg (595 wood) through.

In the age groups U10 and U14, the newcomers from Woldegk triumphed. Emma-Lynn Jeske (U10, 461 Holz), Nora-Leeloo Jeske (U14, 481 wood) and Elias Söring (U14, 462 wood) won gold medals. In the active people, Tessa Szabowsky prevailed again (541 wood), followed by Philipp Ast (567 wood), Sarah Wenzlaff (577 wood) and Celino-Luca Kamzole (579 wood), who was also a good representative in the U18. sport in the upswing

This event reflects an ascending trend: According to the German Sports Youth (DSJ), over 28 million people in Germany are active in organized sport, with every second child and every second young member being a member of an association. This shows how important sport is for the young generation. Leon Ries, Managing Director of the DSJ, emphasizes the return of children and young people to sports after the Corona period and at the same time demands improvements in the framework conditions in the sports clubs. With a wide range of disciplines and a tireless commitment of volunteers, Neubrandenburg made an example: sport combines and promotes health and social integration of youth. The opening of youth sports games celebrated, among others, Minister of Sport Stefanie Drese, LSB President Andreas Bluhm and District Administrator Heiko Kärger. Despite all the challenges on the way, the goal remains clear: to create shared experiences and success for the young generation.
