Kröpelin carpenter Oscar Rehders: Strong at the German championships!

At the center of recent events in the carpentry world is a man who worthy represents the craft in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Oscar Rehders from Kröpelin took 17th place at the German carpentry championships. He is the only representative from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and was therefore able to assert himself in a top-class competition. The championship took place at the Müritz Regional Vocational Training Center in Waren (Mecklenburg Lake District) and brought together the best carpenters from all over Germany.

Oscar, who is the national champion, was tasked with making a stool within a set time frame. A total of 19 state champions and several runners-up from all federal states competed against each other. The first three places went to Simon Patrzek from Schleswig-Holstein, Vitus Brandmair and Leo Eisen from Bavaria. Oscar Rehders' results were considered acceptable, but it was noted that he still needs to train more for the top places in Germany. “I will definitely finish and at least I have achieved my basic goal,” said Rehders after the competition, which shows his determination.

A look at the carpentry scene

With around 200,000 carpenters in Germany and around 643 carpentry businesses in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the craft industry is a mainstay of the regional economy. Oscar Rehders' performance is proof of the quality and commitment that goes into this profession. Despite the strong competition, he managed to hold the country's flag high and mastered the challenges with flying colors.

A big event for the region

The championships are not only a platform for the best craftsmen, but also an opportunity for the region to present itself. The success of Rehders shows that talent and craftsmanship can also be found in smaller towns like Kröpelin. It is encouraging to see how local talent can compete in a national competition.

It remains to be hoped that Oscar Rehders will accept the suggestions from this competition and further develop his skills. Future championships can only benefit from his commitment. The fact that he is taking part in such an event as a lone fighter from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is a reason to be happy and gives hope for future successes.
