Huge rush of visitors: 25,000 celebrated the exhibition in Pasewalk!

Last weekend the city of Pasewalk became the scene of a colorful hustle and bustle when the exhibition for Western Pomerania took place. Over 25,000 visitors flocked to the 33 stands in the “Historical U” to explore the diversity of regional companies, health facilities, the Bundeswehr and various authorities. Organizer Werner Hackbarth was able to celebrate the impressive number of participants and thus marked a success for the region, reported NDR.

The weekend not only offered a trade fair, but also a magnificent city festival on the festival lawn, which was charmingly accompanied by NDR presenter Nils Söhrens. There were several thousand guests who were inspired by the offers and the colorful program. The evening event on Saturday evening was a very special highlight when star guest Nick P. and the duo Cora, formerly known as Neonlicht, performed as the Northern Courier informed.

A celebration for young and old

Visitors could look forward to many entertainment options. The children had a painting activity under the motto “Paint your city of the future” as well as the chance to take part in numerous hands-on activities. The city of Pasewalk was represented with its own stand and advertised the city's anniversary in 2024. The limited beer mugs with a historical coat of arms that were offered for sale were particularly well received.

The supporting program was actually packed: highlights included the awarding of volunteers on Sunday by Mayor Ralf Schwarz and the shooting for the mayor's challenge cup. The 120th anniversary of the M 40 Pasewalk rabbit association also attracted a lot of attention. The Frank Rathsack showman's company and the sports fair, organized by the district sports association and various Western Pomerania clubs, ensured the right atmosphere.

Concern about the future of the show

Despite the success, there are also considerations about the future of the exhibition. A decision will be made in the fall as to whether the event can take place again next year. What remains interesting is the fact that the exhibition may be canceled in 2026, on the occasion of Pasewalk's 775th birthday.

The organizers are pleased about the lively participation and ask interested companies to continue to register, even without an official invitation. Registrations are possible via email in order to make the next exhibition even larger, explained Hackbarth in conclusion.
