Boltenhagen's big corn labyrinth: Air view art enthusiastic!
Boltenhagen's big corn labyrinth: Air view art enthusiastic!
in Boltenhagen, a tranquil location on the Baltic Sea, a newly created work of art causes a stir. It is an impressive corn labyrinth that is only visible from the air. The creative design, which takes on the shape of a bird and shows the inviting lettering "Moin", is located at the entrance to Klütz in a spacious mayif. The idea of designing this work of art came about in close consultation with the farmer who manages the areas. With a precise sowing, the Nölck farm from Oberhof, thanks to modern satellite navigation, laid the foundation stones for this extraordinary project. Mayor Raphael Wardecki was enthusiastic and described the result as successful.
Although the artwork is already completed, the time of approval remains unclear for the public. The spa administration is surprised by this campaign and was not informed about the plans in advance. This unconventional approach reflects the dynamics of art projects in public space, as can also be observed in other parts of the country.
art in public space in Austria
In Austria, art is particularly promoted in public space. According to the Cultural Promotion Act in Lower Austria, artistic work that creates public space are supported. The focus is on the development of an internationally recognized model for such projects that range from autonomous sculptures to communicative interventions. Every year new projects are designed and implemented that emphasize the variety of artistic forms of expression and actively involve the population.
programs such as "Perspectives on Art" in state vocational schools and the Mobile Inventour program invite visitors to deal intensively with art and experience unexpected encounters. These placement approaches are particularly important to promote the acceptance and use of art in public space and to address a wide audience.
art as part of urban design
The Förderverein for Art in Public Spaces not only deals with mediation, but also with the role of art in urban design. The acceptance of modern and contemporary art is stimulated in a field of tension creatively designed. Art is perceived as an important element here that addresses both the expression of complex experiences and socio -political relationships. This shows how art acts as an element of urban design and as an expression of human experiences and social issues.
The impressive corn labyrinth in Boltenhagen is not only an aesthetic project, but also an example of the creative power of art in public space. Art can be more than just a picture on the wall - it can shape the landscape and encourage people to pause and think about what they have seen, whether in Boltenhagen or elsewhere.
