Jamel rocks the forester: Festival as a meeting at the test!

In the coming summer, the music lovers can look forward to a highlight: the festival "Jamel rocks the forester", known in the fight against right -wing extremism, has again made plans. The organizers, the couple Birgit and Horst Lohmeyer, have officially registered the meeting at the Northwest Mecklenburg district. The event takes place from August 11th to 28th and will hope to set an example of tolerance and democracy.

A big challenge is facing the Lohmeyers. For the first time, the municipality of Gägelow introduced a fee of 7,870 euros for the required areas, while an urgent application was rejected by the Schwerin Administrative Court. The court argued that the payment of the amount would not decisively burden the association. So it remains to be seen to what extent this fact will affect the course of the festival. The time of a final decision by the district regarding the assessment of the event as a meeting is still in the stars.

concerns and expectations

Mayor Lars Praachen expressed concerns that the duration of the 18 days of 18 days could make it difficult to see the event as a meeting. "That could complicate the legal framework," said Prahlen. Nevertheless, the festival remains an important event in the region that has been very well received in the past. In 2024 the event was sold out within just half an hour.

Although the details about the bands that occur and the ticket prices are not yet known, fans are already optimistic about the открытиhr. In recent years, known sizes such as the doctors and the dead trousers have occurred at the festival, which has certainly contributed to the great popularity of the event.

a festival with an important message

The Lohmeyers are committed to their commitment to right -wing extremism, a goal that is particularly relevant in view of developments in the region. The protection of the constitution has repeatedly pointed out the risk of right -wing extremist groups that are active in Germany and also publicly show their attitudes. Events such as "Jamel Rockt the Förster" therefore play a central role in making a sign of diversity and discrimination. The recognizable exclusion from right -wing extremist groups shows how important it is to promote cohesion and tolerance, especially in regions that are considered a stronghold of such views.

The Lohmeyers have so far not been available for comment on the current developments. It remains exciting how the situation will develop in the coming weeks and whether the festival can ultimately take place as planned. One thing is certain: spectators and participants expect a feast of joie de vivre and resistance to intolerance.
