No new corona cases in the Northwest Mecklenburg district on November 11th, 2025!

Today, November 11th, 2025, the latest developments on the COVID-19 situation in Germany and especially in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania arrived. While the Northwest Mecklenburg district is showing stability and is not reporting any new infections today, the situation at the national level is somewhat different. Here, the 7-day incidence nationwide has risen to 5.7 per 100,000 inhabitants, with a total of 879 new infections since yesterday. There have been 9 new deaths across the Federal Republic recently, bringing the total number to 188,260. The country has recorded 39,119,351 confirmed COVID-19 cases so far. According to news.de, the mortality rate in Germany remains constant 0.48%.

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the current 7-day incidence of 6.1 per 100,000 inhabitants shows worrying but controllable numbers. Although only 11 COVID-19 cases were recorded in the last 7 days, the total number of people testing positive in the country rose to 738,598. The age group of 35-59 years has the highest infection rate with a total of 288,767 cases. Of the 11,000 cases that have occurred in recent weeks, most affect the younger age groups, making it clear that the pandemic is still with us.

Vaccination situation in Germany

The vaccination measures have so far had a high priority in Germany. According to current figures provided by corona-in-zahlen.de, 76.3% of the population has basic immunization, while 77.9% have received at least one vaccination. To date, 188,244,457 vaccine doses have been administered, with the Biontech vaccine being the most frequently used with 46,595,520 doses. A considerable proportion of the population has already received booster vaccinations, around 62.8% of those who were initially immunized.

Germany, with its 83 million inhabitants, not only has an impressive vaccination rate, but also shows a deep willingness to combat the virus. A look at the intensive care units currently shows 87 COVID-19 patients, which corresponds to 0.4% of the available intensive care beds. The WHO highlights that most infected people show mild symptoms and can recover without hospitalization. But serious symptoms such as difficulty breathing or confusion require urgent medical attention.

The age group of those affected

A further look at the age distribution shows that people between the ages of 35 and 59 are particularly severely affected. The 288,767 cases are particularly striking here, followed by the 15-34 age group with 177,507 cases. There is a great deal of responsibility on the younger age groups who must continue to ensure that we as a society get through this time safely.

The harsh reality of this pandemic is that it affects us all. Anyone who has COVID-19 not only puts themselves at risk, but also those around them. It therefore remains important to support public measures to further reduce incidences and protect the weaker members of our society.
