Oldtimer meetings in Gadebusch: Rarities inspire thousands!

Gadebusch, Deutschland - On July 20, 2025, a classic car meeting found in Gadebusch that made the hearts of automotive lovers beat faster. Almost 110 vehicles presented themselves on the sports field at the museum facility, which sprayed both nostalgia and technical passion. The event, which started at 10 a.m., attracted numerous visitors who were enthusiastic about the variety of vehicles.

A special highlight was the impressive truck of the Tatra brand, which was presented by Jörg Abraham. This huge vehicle was by no means the only rarity: an Opel from 1934, equipped with 24 hp and a top speed of 90 km/h, also hit the visitor's eyes. Last but not least, Frank Rohmann from Gadebusch said: "It is nice to see how many classic cars will be preserved and how well they are well maintained."

The classic car exhibition was a true feast for the eyes and included a variety of vehicles, including motorcycles and tractors. Peter Dettmann, co -organizer and exhibitor, brought his own treasures, including a multicar from 1978 as well as a tractor Famulus and a Moskwitsch from 1974. "It is simply exciting to bring the old machines back to life," says Dettmann.

Alexander Päpke from Groß Salitz from the Barkas B 1000, which was produced 175,000 times in the GDR period, was also particularly impressed. At the raffle at 12 p.m. there were great prizes, including gift baskets and vouchers, while the organizers took care of a musical accompaniment that loosened up the morning pint.

The event was organized by the city of Gadebusch and was well received by visitors. Co-organizer Kornelia Neuhaus-Kühne and her colleagues are already planning another event in 2026, which is to attract even more classic cars. "We want to expand the area and make even more space for the historical vehicles," said the group hope for a nice repetition.

with participants from cities such as Gadebusch, Grevesmühlen, Hagenow, Schwerin and Ludwigslust, the meeting was a melting pot for classic car enthusiasts. The positive response made the organizers look optimistic about the future as far as the preservation and celebration of this automotive history is concerned. And so it can only be hoped that the next year attracts at least as many lovers as this year.
