Brutal attack in Rostock: Eight -headed group hits the hospital!

On Monday evening, June 16, 2025, a brutal assault occurred in Rostock, Groß Klein in the Groß Klein district, which causes excited discussions in the area. Around 7:30 p.m., the police were informed about a violent incident in front of the Klenow goal shopping center. A group of around eight people attacked a 31-year-old man with German-Russian citizenship. Eyewitnesses report on an escalating situation in the course of which the attacked one was hit with a truncheon on the head, which led to significant injuries. The incident was so violent that several patrol cars, an emergency doctor and an ambulance arrived quickly. The injured person was brought to the Südstadtklinikum after a first medical care, but could be released on the same evening.

The police in Rostock-Lichtenhagen started the investigation and initiated a procedure against unknown persons on suspicion of an attempted homicide. To date, it remains unclear whether it was a personal discussion or a planned attack. According to a first statement by the victim, some of the attackers are said to have looked Mediterranean and may be of Syrian origin.
