Hansa Rostock starts preparations in Neuruppin – Ready, set, go!
Hansa Rostock started its preparation camp in picturesque Neuruppin on July 7, 2025. The team bus arrived promptly at 2:33 p.m. at the “Hotel Resort Mark Brandenburg”, where the players and the coaching team will start for the next few days. Marketing manager Laura Stönner said she was pleased that working with the hotel and the city of Neuruppin was more relaxed than with other clubs, especially with regard to security issues. It's no wonder that Hansa Rostock is the only football team in Neuruppin this year - the Hanseatic townspeople are guests here for the third time in a row.
With an impressive group of 30 players and 15 coaches and officials, the Rostock team now knows their way around the hotel very well. The players stay in 15 double rooms, while the coaches stay in single rooms. After their arrival at the hotel, it was a home game for the Rostock team, and the first training session started at 4 p.m. in the nearby Volksparkstadion.
Personnel challenges
Coach Daniel Brinkmann faces some challenges because he cannot rely on the two ailing players Felix Ruschke and Fiete Bock. The team has considered alternative training options for the two injured people. Ryan Naderi and Lukas Wallner completed an individual training session to improve their fitness and rejoin the team as quickly as possible. The team is confident that they will be able to fill the gaps in the squad in order to be competitive next season.
Insight into the preparations
The first days in Neuruppin will not only be about training for the team, but they are also planning to have some friendly comparisons. Jannis Lang was optimistic about the upcoming games and is particularly looking forward to the duel against Cottbus. According to reports from LR Online, players can even cycle to the game, providing a fresh and environmentally conscious team feel. The anticipation of the upcoming challenges as part of the preparation for the season can be felt by everyone involved.
The 2025 season promises to be exciting for Hansa Rostock. After the professionals were relegated to the third league as second to last in the table, they are mobilizing all their strength to get promoted again this season. Planning has already begun to strengthen the squad accordingly and to optimally organize the training sessions. The experiences from the past can serve as a valuable lesson for Hansa.
The history of Hansa Rostock is rich in ups and downs, from the inauguration of the Ostseestadion in 1954 to the most recent setbacks in the league. The club has proven time and time again that it fights through the challenges and never gives up. This mentality could be the key to restarting and being successful next season.
