Rostock calls: Your photos for the environmental calendar 2026!

Rostock, Deutschland - Rostock invites you to demonstrate your own creative skills! The environmental calendar 2025 is entitled "Little Oases in Rostock" and offers the citizens: inside the opportunity to submit their most beautiful and refreshing photo motifs. The city is looking for images that capture the changeability of the city landscape, especially on hot summer days. The focus is on motifs of green courtyards, shady places, gardens and parks. Rathaus Rostock reports that all Rostockers: inside and guests can submit their photos by August 17, 2025.

The Senator for Urban Planning, Construction, Climate Protection and Mobility, Dr. Ute Fischer-Gäde, emphasizes the importance of shaping the city rooms in the face of climate change. She invites everyone to discover creative places and show the city through its eyes. This also has a sustainable aspect, because the submitted images should focus on particularly environmentally conscious places.

Notes on participation

Everyone can upload up to two digital photos in the city's corresponding data cloud. The images in JPG format and in a size should be suitable for DIN A4. The exact resolution should be approx. 4,500 x 3,500 mm at 72 dpi. It must also be ensured that the participants have to agree to the publication of their photos and names. Theme network emphasizes that a selection of the best photos for the monthly motifs of the calendar, which then at the end of 2025 in public institutions such as the town hall, the city library or the district meeting centers ready.

A green view of the city

The motto "Stadt-Land-River" is intended to illustrate the connection between urban life and nature in Rostock. With the calendar, the city also wants to draw attention to important environmental issues, information on waste separation and disposal. The selected photos will be published before the turn of the year - a great stage for the creative Rostock: Inside and visitors: Inside!
