The situation was particularly challenging because they had to look after four small children and an older daughter with a baby of her own. Mayor Rico Reichelt was informed of the family's needs and took matters into his own hands. He contacted Bernd Benthien, the boss of a local painting company and property owner. “It is important to actively help,” emphasized Benthien, who was quick to make his real estate available to those in need. The Strasen family was able to move into renovated rooms that were specially prepared for them.
A new home for the Strasens
The new apartment offers the family enough space so that the children could divide up their rooms well. In addition, nothing stands in the way of extensive preparation of fish fingers in the new kitchen. The modernization of the rooms was driven forward by local companies that have been working on the renovation since May. These are not only visually appealing, but also energetically optimized.
