Boizenburg's mayor saves extended family from homelessness!
At a time when living space is becoming scarce, the Strasen family is happy about a happy new beginning. After 14 years in their old apartment, the couple received notice of termination in February. The situation was particularly challenging because they had to look after four small children and an older daughter with a baby of her own. Finding a new place to live in Boizenburg is difficult, but the community shows solidarity.
Mayor Rico Reichelt was informed of the family's needs and took matters into his own hands. He contacted Bernd Benthien, the boss of a local painting company and property owner. “It is important to actively help,” emphasized Benthien, who was quick to make his real estate available to those in need. The Strasen family was able to move into renovated rooms that were specially prepared for them.
A new home for the Strasens
The new apartment offers the family enough space so that the children could divide up their rooms well. In addition, nothing stands in the way of extensive preparation of fish fingers in the new kitchen. The modernization of the rooms was driven forward by local companies that have been working on the renovation since May. These are not only visually appealing, but also energetically optimized.
Reichelt emphasizes how important the community is in Boizenburg and that people can rely on each other. The example of the Strasen family clearly shows how something positive can emerge from difficult circumstances.
A look into the gastronomy scene
The gastronomy scene in Morbihan is diverse and delights not only locals but also tourists. The restaurants are classified according to various criteria such as price, cuisine and location, making selection easier. The most popular restaurants for families or those with delivery services are also recommended.
With a new home and the support of the neighborhood, the Strasen family has experienced a positive turnaround. And for everyone who is based in or visiting the region, new living options as well as culinary discoveries are waiting to be explored. The community is alive!
