But that's not all that Schwerin has to offer! The International Night of Bats is also celebrated in the city on the same weekend. On August 22nd, anyone interested can take part in net catching in the Plauer city forest from 7 p.m. and listen to exciting lectures about the flying mammals from 8 p.m. On August 24th there is a guided hike on the bat trail in Bossow, which starts at 10 a.m. and is associated with a contribution of 5 euros per person.
