Feminism for everyone: Open evening for Schwerin initiatives on November 11th
An exciting event awaits us in Schwerin in the coming days, which not only arouses great interest, but also represents an important step towards a fairer society. On Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, the event “Node | Meeting Room” will take place at Mecklenburgstrasse 63 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is an introductory evening for local feminist initiatives that is aimed at all genders and draws attention to the overall challenges of feminism. Schwerin.news reports that this event is designed to be low-threshold and will be characterized by a mini-exhibition, short presentations and exchange opportunities.
But what exactly are these initiatives committed to? The focus is on topics such as wage inequality, care work, safety in public spaces, participation, accessibility and equal rights, which are of central importance for many people. The organizers want to create a space in which those affected and interested parties can meet to discuss the different life situations and challenges and to develop solutions together.
Diverse topics and access for everyone
What makes the evening so special? The invitation extends to all genders and underlines that feminism is important for all groups disadvantaged by patriarchy, including people with disabilities, people with a migrant background, BIPoC and queer people. The goal: to lower inhibitions and build bridges, even for those who previously had no access to such topics. In addition, no registration or specific prior knowledge is necessary, and there is no dress code - the relaxed atmosphere is intended to invite you to just come along and have a look.
Another exciting aspect of this series of events is the presentation of projects that include advisory services, cultural formats and educational work. Learning from the Global South and the topic of community organizing play a special role here. There should be an exchange that not only goes into depth, but also addresses practical politics in everyday life. Funding is provided by the German Foundation for Commitment and Volunteering and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Become strong together
A highlight of the evening are the opportunities for conflict resolution in groups and the exchange about public relations, which are essential for the work of initiatives. This creates a platform on which not only interested people but also committed people can network in order to become active together. Strengthening voluntary work plays a central role and represents a benefit not only for society, but also for the personal lives of the participants.
The organizers of ju.st are convinced that such a meeting not only provides information, but can also lay the basis for future cooperation and initiatives. The event represents an excellent example of how a more just and resilient society can be formed by experiencing existing challenges together and developing solutions. So be there and become part of this important encounter!
